John F. Cannon has been with Brenner for twenty-two years, and was instrumental during the transition of Brenner becoming part of Walker Group Holdings in 2007. Doug Chapple, CEO of Walker Group Holdings LLC made the announcement earlier this week, stating, "This is a key organizational milestone and will allow all our companies to realize meaningful efficiencies.*
Cannon joined Brenner Tank after receiving his B.S. from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Over the years has been active in developing a number of programs for Brenner Tank and Walker Group, including the Brenner EXPO, an annual interactive learning event hosted by Brenner Tank. This event gives customers access to technological developments and experts in a number of fields from transportation safety to metallurgy.
John F. Cannon has also been active in leadership roles in the transportation industry, serving as past chair of the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) Tank Conference Committees and as a frequent guest speaker at National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) events. Most recently, he testified before a Congressional subcommittee on cargo tank safety issues. He is a licensed professional engineer and active in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
John F. Cannon will continue to be based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, where he resides with his wife and two children.
